Attendance Policies
-
Invites will go out in a priority fashion based on 4 rank tiers:
* Initiate / Casual / Alt: No Priority
* Member: Priority over Initiate / Casual / Alt
* Veteran: Priority based on secondary rank
* Raider / Officer / GM: Priority over Member / Initiate / Casual / Alt
- In order to attain member status you must have 50% raid attendance over the past 30 days.
- In order to attain raider status you must have 75% raid attendance (over the past 30 days).
- RAID TIMES----6:00 PM server to 9:30 PM server, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Invites will be out 30minutes before raid starts( 5:30PM ).
- If at least 25 people are not and we don't raid on for Wednesday, it is a flat 50 DKP for those invited. For Thursday, 75 DKP will be given out for those invited
- Raids that we will be attending during the weekdays are Vault of Archavon and Icecrown Citadel. Miscellaneous raids will either be Trial of the (Grand) Crusader or Ulduar. Being saved for the weekday raids ( VoA & ICC ) will prevent you from getting DKP for the rest of the week.
DKP Policies
- "DKP, short for Dragon Kill Points, is a concept originally created by Thott of Afterlife, at a time where the only two raid targets in Everquest were two dragons, Lady Vox and Lord Nagafen. These points are awarded to each guild member as they attend a guild raid. The current DKP of each member reflects his or her priority for loot. When a member "wins" an item, they lose a DKP amount that reflects the value of that item. DKP allows for an unbiased comparison between guild members when decisions about loot are to be made based on attendance and recent items that have been awarded." ~wowwiki.com
- In The Chosen we distribute dkp using a "zero sum" system. When a player spends dkp on an item, you take the amount spent divided by 25 and give that to all players in raid. For example, John Raider spends 25 dkp on his t7 helm (not likely!). Each player (including John Raider) will receive 1dkp.
- In a raid, there will be a Master Looter. Typically, this is Beefybulvine or another Officer. When the Loot Master types in raid "!bid [ITEM]", whisper with the amount that you wish to bid. This number is what the item is worth to YOU. It can not exceed your maximum dkp, or if it is your first raid with us it can not exceed half your maximum. The loot master will then review all bids and give the item to the highest bidder. The highest bidder spends the SECOND highest bidders cost (if there is no other bidder it gets won for the minimum dkp cost established by officers). For example, John Raider and Jane Raider both want the t7 helm...again. John bids 25 and Jane bids 50. Jane wins the item for 26 DKP.
- You do not lose any dkp if you do not win an item.
- Bids for an item will be open to main spec first, and then off spec. The same rules will apply when bidding on an item for off spec.
- If you die during trash you have to release and run back or u are docked 10dkp, unless asked not to release.
- Being AFK long enough to be replace will dock you 10dkp.
- Every hour there will be a 5min bio break. If not back in the alloted time, you will be docked 10dkp.
Guild Removal Offenses
- Aggresive behavior to another member will result in removal from the guild if done after the initial warning.
- "Ninja Looting" or looting items that do not belong to you CAN result in removal from the guild unless actions are taken to remedy the offense (if it was an accident then you can pay the value to the rightful owner, or petition a gm about it, yes this does include needing if masterlooter is not on).
- Hacking, cheating, botting, or manipulating the game in any way shape or form will result in removal from the guild. This makes the whole guild look bad.
- Being inactive for longer than 30 days without prior notice will result in guild removal.
* Note: Vacation days must be confirmed with the Guild Master prior to your absense.
- Continuous minuscule offenses (afk during raids, arguing in guild chat, being immature, whining about loot, starting drama) you will be banned from guild.
- We are all aware that you might have views on some topics that you may feel strongly about, but we are asking you to keep it to your selves. This means, no discussion of politics, religion, any thing to do with sexual orientation or racism. No dead baby jokes, no N-bombs, and no Jewish jokes.
- Lastly, if you are above Casual rank, you are not to be saved to any 25 man other then ours, unless you miss the runs, and we have cleared. First offense you will be warned, second is a DKP dock, and third is guild removal.
Invitation Policies
- Minimum invitation level is 71 with a friendship flux of 10 levels, with the exception of alts.
- All applicants to guild must register on website and fill out an application.
- Make sure your class is open for recruiting. You can do so by checking "Guild Recruitment" on the home page.
- Upon inviting a player to the guild, officers must note the date of invite and the name of the officer who did the invite in the officer note. If it is a member's alt then the member's main's name must be in the public note.
Loot Policies
- A "/roll 1-100" will be used to distribute loot in 5-Man instances and 10-Man raids.
- A player will receive a negative 20 to their roll for every piece of gear (blue for 5-Man instances, and epic for 10-Mans) that they have won prior to their current roll. For example: If a player has won the Tier 4 gloves in karazhan and the Tier-4 helm drops, and they want to roll, they will receive a -20 to their roll for the helm. This will help to disperse the loot between other players in the raid without making it impossible to receive multiple items.
Rank Policies
- Promotions will be done based on a set of guidelines as well as guild activity.
- Initiate - Initiates are potential members to the guild. They have either not been in the guild longer than 14 days, or have not registered on the website.
- Alt - The "Alt" rank is reserved for Alternative characters of guild members. Every alt MUST have a name of their main the their guild note or they will be kicked from the guild.
- Casual - Casual ranks are non-raiding members of the guild. Casuals receive minimal guild bank access but are full members of the guild. They may raid but will be replaced if somebody of a higher rank and / or more use is needed.
- Member - This is the base member rank in the guild. Member ranks are to be ready to raid all of our farmed raids and occasionally step into our progression raids. This rank is granted minimal guild bank access.
- Raider - This rank is given to those members who have reached level 80 and have the "best" gear possible to take part in our progression raids. Only a set amount of "raiders" are allowed in guild. Raiders get priority over any other non raider rank for raiding spots. This rank is given access to our raiding tab, but it should ONLY be used for raids. Abuse of this access will result in immediate demotion. If a raider is late to a scheduled raid he is revoked the right of first spot in the raid. Although all Officers may not be Raider rank, some Officers can be raiders even if they are not marked as such (they are already higher rank). The same rules apply to Officer Raiders.
- Veteran - The Veteran rank is a special rank given to members of the guild that either donate to our PayPal fund (for our website, domain name, ventrilo, and dkp) or they have been an outstanding Raider and member of the guild. This rank is given special guild bank privileges. These privileges WILL be revoked if abuse becomes frequent.
* Note: This rank is NOT a common rank in the guild, you will NOT be promoted to it just because you have been here a long time
- Class Officer - A class officer has FULL control over their specific classes. They will gkick and invite members for their class as they see fit.
- Officer - Officers are the leaders of the guild. Officers will lead raids, run instances and promote the well-being of the guild. Officers also have the ability to invite, kick, promote, and demote other players.
- Guild Bank Manager - Guild Bank Managers are responsible for the management and welfare of our guild bank. All guild bank requests MUST go through this person or the Guild Master if the Guild Bank Manager is not available. Officers are NOT Guild Bank Managers.
- Guild Master - The Guild Master is the leader of the guild. The Guild Master will be responsible for overseeing the general welfare of the guild and insuring it's growth and progression. The Guild master has full control over guild bank and its resources.
Voting Policies
- Guild-wide votes will be held if it is deemed necessary by the Guild Master or the Officers (removing a member from the guild may or may not result in a guild vote).
- There will always be a note in the guild info and / or message of the day if a guild wide vote is taking place.
- In order to vote you must be a member or higher rank in the guild and be registered on the forums. There will be a specific thread for each vote in the Guild Vote forum.
Miscellaneous Policies
- Remember, your favorite colors are Maroon and Gold.
- Since your going to say you read the policies, this is your first warning.
